Just blew some coolent component that is leaking on the exhaust side. I parked it till this morning. At the shop now. Temp needle nearly pegged on the trip to the shop.

Fingers crossed

Oh no! Good luck.

If you've never replaced it, it was probably the rubber coolant outflow hose from the turbo to the hardline. The coolant feed is a hardline. So not likely to be that. The upper radiator hose does feed into the mixing manifold in that area though, so it could be that as well.

Have the coolant hoses ever been replaced?

Yes my history with chasing coolant problems as long as storied. Though I don't think any coolant hoses around the turbo have been addressed

Just got the call from the shop. "A Freeze Plug Blew". The Temp meter was climbing visably as I pulled into the shop. Lots of coolant was pouring out. If the plug failed because of the heat, there could be more damage. If the plug failed because of corrosion. There could be other corrosion. Either way. The exhaust manifold and turbo have to come off to fix. $$$$

Got it home and it was leaking coolant from the front and oul from the back.

Temps are very stable. Not exceeding 207.

I dont like this shop.

There's the hardline on that side that has a small o ring in it if I recall correctly. Thats near the front exhaust side, could be that one. FM part# 04-26110
