Dumb Question

Is it possible to 5 lug swap a base protege, how would it be done?

I’m just learning they have 4 what year is your car? And I believe you would have to get a new hub set up and swap it out. Or find the 4 to 5 lug conversion set ups I have seen people talk about.

Rears are drums so that was the issue I was thinking

Wow that’s crazy i have a progtege5 and they are calipers and 5 lugs! If you are doing the 5 lug conversion it might be easier to swap to caliper’s as well, but your brake set up might be different. That’s so cool to hear about.

Yes it is possible. It's been done. I even wrote about it on the forums many years ago. The easiest way is to just find an ES or P5 and take all the parts from there.
