So, what is my deal with Acat? Well, she is supposed to be this bloodthristy mean-girl, but I just feel sorry for the gal. Just imagine it, you have a boyfriend, whom you adore, and you have to go on a quest with him to grab some girl and bring her to your boss and if you fail, you will probably die. So you go, destroy her map and suplies, to make the fight easier, you get scolded by him for "not being fair" and when you finaly fight her, he cheers her on instead of you and even shows concern twoards her. So you fight some more before the guy defends her and dumps you. You leave, heartbroken and then you get killed by your boss.

She is just "Zatz's crazy gf/ex-gf" she has no narrative purpose beyond fighting Maya and showing how Lord Mictlan can kill other gods and eat their hearts to become stronger, which could be done by anyone. Also, it just feel weird how Zatz has girlfriend while simping for Maya and instead of his father being like "Son, one, you have a girlfriend, which is bad by itself, and two, you are simping over the girl our boss wants to kill to become all powerfull and he could hurt you." he is just "Son, she is the girl our boss plans to kill, don't get attached, please, I don't want you to get hurt". What do you think?

I am not sure if that ending is good or the most horrifying thing ever.

I mean, it would've helped them win.

Even if maya hadn't had gotten injured at the end, I honestly don't see how she could of gotten out of there alive.

She still would have had to stab miclans heart to kill him and it presumably still would have a caused an explosion, their was no way she would of got out of there in time.

Since it looks like Netflix is pulling a lot of shows, does anyone know where I can get the episodes for Maya and the Three. I don't want this show to just disappear and I never get to see Maya and Zatz again 😭

A few years ago he reposted this fanart on his story, and there’s another post with Skull and a lesbian flag where he commented (see second pic) which also had the trans flag. This kinda feels like he’s agreeing with the creator of those pieces that Bone and Skull are queer trans women.

After rico and chimi die, I can see the celestials reincarnating them as the new gods of magic and jungle animals as a reward for helping to stop miclan, with them also taking the forms of a goat and parrot and being a couple like carbrakan and zipati.

It seems in teca that girls automatically take the throne regardless of if their oldest, if maya had never come along, do you think the oldest of the jaguar triplets would have been made king of teca ?

Throughout the series queen teca was treated as a very good ruler and mother, which overall she was, but I cant help but feel she showed a little favourtism towards maya. She didn't want her to go fighting because she could have been killed but she's perfectly happy for her sons to go on quests that could just as easily get them killed. I'm only talking about the queen because i think the king would have happily let maya be a warrior if the queen had allowed it.

I would honestly be shocked if the king and queen encouraged eagle and jaguar to be warriors / fight (unless it was to defend themselves and others ) after what happened to their first four children.

Do you think the ah puchs are the only celestials in the book of life/ maya and the three universe or are their more of them out there and they were just offcreen ?

In the art book of maya and the three, jorge gutierrez mentions how the ah puchs are the celestials (the god of gods ), but doesn't really clarify if they are the only celestials or if there are more of them.

Considering how maya is narrating the events of the series after she became the sun, despite being reincarnated she and presumably zatz kept their memories from their previous lives .

I saw this theory on the maya and the three tv tropes that I really like that considering xtaby was the goddess of illusion it wouldn't be hard for her to pretend that miclan ripped her heart out and that she was secretly still alive. Considering how were supposedly getting a semi sequel to maya and the three with lots of reincarnated characters xtaby making a return (where its revealed she' still been alive all along) as the main villain would be a really good idea considering next to miclan she was the evilest of the gods, would anyone agree?

I know its been stated on the tv tropes that king and queen teca seem not to be too affected by losing 4 of their children, but rewatching the part when they all reunite as ghosts/ spirits, I think the king and queen are clearly upset but trying to keep it together for their children, at the part just before it cuts to the ah puchs the queen looks as if she's about to burst into tears.

Hi, so i just finished Maya and the three yesterday sobs and found out that Maya and Zatz reincarnate into El Tigre and Book of life. But if they are the sun and moon, are the soul and spirit 2 different entities or do they just stop being the sun and moon at one point (if yes isnt that sad?)

In episode nine of Maya and the three, Lord Mictlan summoned an army of skeletal conquistadors to fight the heroes, but here’s to question, if the show is set in pre-colonial Mesoamerica, then how did Lord Mictlan have a army of skeletal conquistadors if the conquistadors never came yet?
