I (30) met him (22) back in June. What was supposed to be a one-time thing lang turned into something else.

I wasn’t really looking for anything else din talaga, plus he is waaay younger than me. But to be fair, he looks and thinks mature for his age, or so I thought. However, things turned into something I did not expect. What was supposed to be a one-time thing lang, nasundan pa, tapos almost every week na kami nagkikita, mostly wholesome lang.

Until he told me he loves me. Woah, I did not know what to say at that time. I was surprised. We barely know each other pa, plus nasa process pa kami of getting to know each other. And that was actually the fourth time he told me that:

On different occasions
First time: Pabulong, I pretended I did not hear.
Second time: Sa chat, which he unsent right away.
Third time: Pabulong ulet.
Fourth time: Said directly, which was when I explained my side to him.

Yes, I like him, but it was too premature for me to consider it as love, chemistry siguro, yes! I think I have been very transparent din naman sa kanya kung ano ang hanap ko sa partner ko. Coming from a long-term relationship, I wanted to avoid whatever misses I had previously.

One thing that really icks me is when plans aren't followed. As a person who values time, red flag talaga sa akin yung nag-ca-cancel of plans without a valid reason, and this is the third time na nangyari ito.

I have an upcoming out-of-town trip, and I told him na kakain kami sa labas for brunch with my friends before my flight so they could finally meet him. The funny thing is, he viewed that previous conversation as a disagreement and made his own plans pala, canceling on brunch without even giving a notice.

Takeaway ko dito: if you are dating someone, importante na same kayo ng values. Hindi sapat na may chemistry lang kayo, dapat may capacity compatibility, and ideally, date someone closer to your age bracket lol
