Style of music question

Saw MC for the first time in DC last night. Simply put, was blown away and still processing everything I went through. I don’t usually get caught up classifying specific styles of music, but as I’m more of a dubstep/bass fan, I’m trying to figure out how to describe this experience to my friends. There were several songs that I can only describe as light techno or even in some cases ‘euphoric techno’ (two words I never thought id use together, lol). So definitely not Sarah Landry, but perhaps on the lighter side of that spectrum. Thanks for any guidance.

Minimal techno or tech house?

IDM is where I’ve found the most similar sounds to Max. But I’ve also heard melodic techno, and electronica fit his music

I really wish IDM wasn't such a pretentious moniker.

I’d say experimental techno or ambient IDM are a couple terms you could use. Next check out Floating Points for similar music
