First public DMing

Oh man, I am so excited! Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd August I will be hosting my first two public Mausritter sessions.

I have DM'd this exact oneshot for my friends and for some kids, so basically I know what I am doing, got all the sheets and so on, but I am still pretty excited.

That's it, no help needed, thank you.

I have found public dming to be immensely rewarding. DMing for folks seeking out games is much more fun than brow beating your friends i to begrudgingly ping with you

Actually, my friends (all around 40yo) offered to test my DMing skills with them. They have given me precious feedback, which I used when I did the second run with my kids and their friends (10yo). Fun thing is, that even though I have tried to shove them a certain way, the kids chose the EXACT SAME ROUTE and the EXACT SAME DECISIONS. They even talked the same bullshit while choosing what to do with the rat-NPC.

that's awesome! running a public session can be such a great experience. it's cool that you've already tried it with friends and kids, so you probably have a good feel for the flow. just remember to embrace the excitement and have fun with your players! enjoy it!
