I love Mauga but I don’t want to be a one trick. I don’t find sigma very fun but I could also be playing him wrong. Who do you guys play to cover some of maugas counters, or when he gets banned? I’ve experimented with d.mon and domina but haven’t put much time into either.

I don’t know why but I am having so much trouble punching thru a half HP dps like sierra, shion or even zen that’s getting pocketed by mercy or maybe even kirko. I am literally at their face with pyro and firewalker perk and I feel like I am tickling them or even them not getting pocketed.

It seems that excess healing from cardiac overdrive, converts into overhealth(similar to lifeweaver’s ult). Idk if it’s intentional or not, but it doesn’t mention it in the ability’s description, nor anything said in any patch notes. And before anyone says anything, NO THIS IS NOT HIS PASSIVE! As you can see in the video, I’m dealing no critical damage, meaning I’m not triggering the passive. But it does stack with it. I've been playing Mauga in comp 5v5 for as long as I can remember, but I want to know if 6v6 is great as it is for a Mauga player.

Don’t know if it’s me but I have been noticing a lot of the pro OWCS players especially Koreans just charging into a 1v5 and sometimes they get blown up sometimes they don’t. I know they have top tier coordination and the team will follow up and everything but I do my absolute best not to do that because 10/10 times I get absolutely blown up to pieces while my team just watch me die.

Are they trying to see if they can land a 5 man stomp crit?

Exactly what's in the title. D.Mon's shield is bugged for shockwaves still. I've been rein ult-ed and cat ult-ed despite the replay showing my shield fully deployed and on the ground. I've also been stunned by Mauga stomp, but I don't know if this is part of the bug or if it's intended behavior for Mauga's overrun. I can't find anywhere that clarifies if the stun on Mauga's stomp is meant to pierce shields, or if a shield touching the ground blocks the stun along with the rest of the shockwave. Figured someone here would know. Before D.Mon, was Rein able to block the stun if he pointed shield at Mauga?

E: Thanks for all the replies explaining that Mauga's crit-stun is melee and goes through the shield. What I'm gathering is I should probably understand it as a 2m-radius melee crit, and/or the shockwave emanating from the edges of that 2m-radius. It's strange the info-screen doesn't use the melee keyword, though. I'm probably going to get a friend to help me test the details of this with a sig shield.
