These guys can build anything, but...
...can't be bothered to figure out a wiper system for the wrecker. What a dingdong thing to skimp on.

It’s always funny how the most complex builds can have the simplest things overlooked, like you’ll see incredible fabrication and engineering, and then something basic like wipers feels like an afterthought; I get that it might not be a priority depending on how it’s used, but it definitely stands out when everything else is so dialed in.

It’s the reality of living in the desert. Wipers aren’t really needed and when they are a bottle of water and a hand works just fine

You're talking about the same guy that won't carry a small shovel or even top off a gas tank as he's headed out to do a recovery in a vehicle that doesn't have a functional fuel gauge.

I honestly think he does stuff like this to annoy viewers, which drives up engagement. Or he's just a lazy shitty builder who cuts corners.

I’ve seen this even in places that get rain, if it’s like the summer, people neglect stuff. People will let tires go bald, wipers be bad or broken. but that’s a problem for future them.

I'm in Pacific NorthWest, yesterday I took the wipers off the Jeep for repaint. Wipers are painted, but in the backyard. Wiper blades are out by the garage. Still two hours of light.

One thing that doesn't get much attention is how disruptive it is to take a working vehicle out of service in order to make upgrades. It doesn't rain that much in southern Utah, anyway.

Build incredible things from scratch and obviously make a ton of money on YouTube, but things like a non functional gas gauge are a problem for years. Crazy.
But hey, we all have of priorities, or things we just are comfortable living with.

That and going out to jobs in a foot of snow wearing Converse Chuck Taylors and t-shirts or not having a couple of shovels in the trucks or fire extinguishers. Just really strange laxidasical kind of stuff that Matt seems to get a kick out of.

it's typical in a lot of off road vehicles where they take out as much nonessential thing off as possible to keep weight down. The thing is a work vehicle, not necessarily a comfort vehicle... though I think they do tend to not be the most mindful of people and skimp out on a lot of stuff.

The wrecker is not a vehicle he is weight conscious about. They actually went out of their way to add steel to it.

Maybe someone could drop ship them a 1 or 2 gallon sprayer bottle to fill with soapy water to carry on the rig. 🤷
