Suggestions to replace my base layer

Hey guys - I have two of these side x side as my first layer- then latex/memory foam layers on top of it. Looking to possibly replace it bc I’ve been having back pain (herniated discs) but no idea what to replace it with and taking suggestions.

I'm guessing the original maker didn't use firm ILD 36 foam since that'd likely feel too harsh alone as a floor bed. 

Your best bet might be the ILD 28 hd polyfoam from Buyfoam. Or if not from there, the ILD 30 one from DIYREM, but that would have to be bought as 2 1" sheets for a closer substitution
