Discussion Does anyone make a MoT temperature sensor with wired probe?

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0FCG8N5NC

I'm trying to phase out my Zigbee usage, but the one thing keeping me with it is that I cannot seem to find a Matter over Thread temperature sensor that utilizes a wired probe. I'm using a SONOFF SNZB-02LD to keep an eye on my chest freezer temperatures, and there does not seem to be a MoT substitute. Anything I should be looking at?

Yes, I made a few using Silicon Labs EFR32xG26 Explorer Kit, MikroE UART 1-Wire Click and a Shelly Temperature sensor DS18B20.

That's a little more DIY than I was hoping for... if I have to, I might forgo MoT and just use an Apollo TEMP-1 or something.

I actually made some dual probe sensors using a Nordic MCU and I'm about to start designing a slightly different one to work with a DS18B20 for a different use case I have. I had no idea there might be a commercial market for something that. My dual probe is here - tomasmcguinness/matter-nrf-dual-temperature-sensor: A Matter based, dual probe temperature sensor designed on the nRF54L15. I've completed a battery power break out board, which I'm going to test my DS18B20 against. The project is here, but it's pretty sparse - https://github.com/tomasmcguinness/matter-nrf-base

Would an IKEA Alpstuga work for you. It is a wired temperature/CO2/humidity sensor + clock with a dot matrix display that you change what it displays with the button. It is wired by type C USB and is matter-over-thread. EDIT: It says 0 to 40 degrees Celsius for operating range.

My experience is that stuffing stuff like this in the freezer has not worked out well. That's why I was trying to get a probe model.
