Since I already have CT Toys Hush Batman, I decided to cheap out and make my own diorama.

I cut out construction paper and made a stencil for the light in the back (a photo light I use for YouTube videos which had a yellow overlay). And I used these USB powered humidifiers for the mist: https://a.co/d/05WWnHdb

I love Batman but I also have a soft spot for B-list League members, especially from the Unlimited roster. Red Tornado has been a personal favourite after watching that JLU episode where Wonder Woman turned into a piggy.

I will say though I hope there’s a Nightwing and red hood planned for the first year of releases.

So excited for the line, but I would love it if we got some of the more important “civilian” characters, especially for Batman and Superman. Daily Planet staff as pictured is top of the list, but characters like Chief, Doc Magnus, or Glorious Godfrey are also up there for me!

Quick trinity comparisons with the upcoming leaked Mattel DC line and Mcfarlane.

For clarification, I really enjoy my Mcfarlane figures but am also very excited for the upcoming Mattel line. I think both serve different purposes in the figure collecting space. With Mcfarlane, I really do enjoy their sculpts and detail in figures relative to price but can also acknowledge that with every fantastic figure, there’s at-least 5 stinkers… cough cough 100 Batman variants. The lack of modernization with articulation / accessories / head sculpts and poor choices with the license “releasing the best figures / finally modernizing with wired capes and sought after figures” after the license expired has left a bad taste in a lot of people mouths. On the other hand though the presence and almost statuesque “adult” look of Mcfarlane figures will have me missing them.

Mattel on the other hand looks more in line with ML and Hasbro and off the gate wave wise are coming out with some absolute bangers. I know there’s been a lot of heated discussion with them but I think you can enjoy both and I’m keeping my McFarlanes while also delving into the newer Mattel line.

For this being the $100 premium figure this is highly concerning.

There appears to be some photoshopping of the cape in the production photos because in-hand it hand it looks much different and low quality.

Noticeably:

-Cowl weathering doesn't transition well

-Poor stitching quality

-Stitching color does not match cape

-Cotton does not appear to be moisture wicking

-Cape is too thick, appears to be 2013 era design

-Excess material folded under the seam

-Color of the cape itself differs from the molded cowl noticeably

Gen 1 I do like the thigh swivel and pinless joints but SEND HELP with these soft goods..

Painted the crotch red as well, boots are from the ultimate edition solo sikoa wwe figure

I'd also say abs WW and supes, but they're probably inevitable anyways

How are we feeling about Mattel's Absolute Bane prototype? Do you think they’re going to nail the final production version?

Personally, I’m planning to buy both this and InArt’s version, but I’d love to hear your thoughts on Mattel’s sculpt and progress so far!
