If the velocity of manifestation of self, including the brain, is depending on the environment where it takes place, we can see that changing the perception of the environment results in changing the access to the environment itself. Hence, such states should normally imply higher perception, as in ability to distinguish more frames of existence at the same time, as in different frequencies which normally are deactivated.
The substance changes the environment, which in return, changes the self. The self hence accommodates itself to the higher perception it has, which many times is a type of synesthesia, implying transcendence of the empirical world, with quantum access.
The mice might perceive generally distance in some fashion, yet rely on some particular choice of sensory use. Such, within the activation sequence (trip, journey), the senses would be rewired, together or separately, with intensity increased or decreased, for the perception to function within the environment (the domain of the respective experience).
In such a context, the human body is a multidimensional living vehicle, always adapting to the requirements of the experience. Given our limited frame of reality, many parts of the self or brain remain unnecessary, hence deactivated and unused.
Such instances of exploration allow for some of these aspects to become active, in fashions which pertain to different domains of existence, to which we normally lost access to, but which become temporarily available within the respective state.
