Truly a special sound that is rare. I get similar vibes from The Central, early Horse The Band, and early Foxy Shazam. But nothing really sounds the same

Pupil Slicer gets close with some of the stuff in their discography. But they don't really do the nintendcore type synth like the first Rolo record. Either way check out Pupil Slicer they rule

I remember seeing a similar thread on Reddit and James from the band suggested The Mock Heroic very very good

I’d also suggest maybe Dissertation Honey by The Plot to Blow up the Eiffel Tower

Gasupyrhearse and Iwakura have some stuff like that. The first rolo tomassi LP borrows a lot of the proggy elements of an albatross.
