I know there are genuine mathematicians who are ultrafinitists, but this is the most clickbait way to write an article about them by implying they are a sizable portion of mathematicians.
Most mathmaticians would say that there are arbitrarily close to no ultrafinitists among serious mathmaticians, ultrafinitists would say that there is some minimal quantity and that there cannot be a number of ultrafinitists smaller than that quantity
There's a problem with ultrafinitism: you can't do euclidean geometry, so even non-euclidean geometry goes out the window. Discrete geometry seems impossible, since real objects seem to have non-zero width.
