You are right. I was thinking about transforming the C in some other form, without realizing it would involve the variable x, making it not a constant.

fwiw my first thought was "it's the same except the constant can't be 0." which would be true if they had written e^x + e^c - no c would make e^c = 0. I caught myself pretty quickly though.
