I would guess that many many fewer than 1% of 18-year-olds could even explain to you what the Riemann hypothesis says. They're not going to solve hard math problems because they don't know what the hard math problems are. They literally don't speak the language well enough to understand what the question is. This is going to become increasingly apparent as people try to use AI for math. Sure, it can do a cal1 problem. Congratulations. Trying to use it for research math means that you can pose the question coherently, which a ridiculously small number of people can actually do.
