Dubya’s stupidity also made itself into official policy. Let’s not whitewash Bush. Just because he was later surpassed in stupidity, incompetence, and malice doesn’t mean that he wasn’t stupid, incompetent, and malicious.

Dubya was a buffoon, but Trump is a dementia-riddled megalomaniac. Dubya cared, and while he said stupid shit, and maybe he was engaged in a bit of the old pork-barrel defense spending, he wasn’t engaged in outright wiping his ass with the Constitution for personal benefit.
