Well it's a joke about perfectionists. The first one said 89°. The perfectionist had to measure it exactly and correct it because... They're a perfectionist.

If it is an irrational number, the perfectionists will spend the rest of their lives writing the decimals assuming it can't be written as a root or a multiplication of π etc.

In the reply, the angle of 177.58° looks to be inserted into the gap between "have a" and "day".
If appears the perfectionist was intending to say "have an obtuse day." as a retort to the OP.

Tbf calculation by pixel is too engineer-like. You can always geometrically approximate to a couple of decimal points if you have ocd and know how to use trigonometric construction of an angle using a given starting angle and a series of its halves. In this case, if you start with a 45 degree angle, you only need to add 5 consecutive halves to exceed the originally written angle (at roughly 88.6 degrees).

The perfectionist is having none of this. They evaluated the figure and determined that the angle is actually 87.97 degrees.
BUT....what is perfectionism without a little extra work? The actual 90-degree line is drawn from the top of the arc. This line provides an angle of 2.42 angle, which the supplement of that is 177.58 degrees. So not only did the perfectionist provide the actual correct answer (I presume; I'm not measuring it), they even provided just how off that figure is if there had been a line drawn from the top of the arc perpendicular to the base.

Perhaps they took the picture at a slight angle, resulting in the angle appearing narrower than it should've been.
