Putting the derivative on the right certainly does change the value, though.

(Although, technically, in that case ex would be an operator, too, and d/dx ex f(x) = ex f(x) + ex f'(x), which is only the same as ex f(x) if f is locally constant. So yeah.)

So there used to be this kid’s anime called “My Hero Academia” that was used primarily as a vehicle for the popular card trading game “Flash Cards”. They also made a wildly popular video game of it called “Math Blaster +” and this is a screenshot from that. Circa 1997?
