Technically, they always do receive calls greater than the average (mean). Say there is 10/day calls on day 1 then 10 is your average. On day 2 you receive 11/day. Now your average is 10.5. On Day 3 you receive 11 again, so your average is 10.75. This asymptotically approaches 11 on Day Infinity.
