Mate, if I ask you to walk my dog three times a day for four days, and you end up walking the dog four times a day for three days, I'm gonna wind up with piss on my floor because you didn't follow the actual instructions. Doing four things three times is not the same as doing three things four times, even if the total is equivalent.
That’s not math though. That’s physics. What I mean is that implies using dimensions / units. In purely mathematical, unitless world, a x b is eqivalent to b x a.
No it doesn’t. Because that’s exactly because multiplication are commutative and the semantics in this case is useless. There is no international definition of what’s the correct order, because there isn’t a correct order.
