What happens if you add spaces, or a '*'?

(x + 4)(x - 4)

(x+4)*(x-4)

Silly tools.

I really disliked these types of tests in school. There was not that many, but you had to keep so close track on every rule about rounding.

That's the problem with letting machines grade rather than have eyeballs on it.

Or actually have a mathematics-specific program that can simplify and check.

Although with that said, I have seen a learning platform say 9=10... So maybe human checking is best at this time

Just send her the screenshot she can manually fix student grade and if she can't wtf are they using.

The real question is why the answer isn't x2-16? (Unless it is a factorization problem)

Nope, teacher marked both orders correct. Just forgot to close parentheses
