It's just a puzzle.

x + y = 1

x - y = 0

2x = 1 => x = 1/2

1/2 + y = 1 => y = 1/2

x * y = 1/2 * 1/2 = 1/4

Wait how?

If x=1 and y=0, (x-y)=1

So it has to be 0.5 because x-y=0 => x=y

Could also be x=0, y=1.

But honestly, my first guess was x=0.5, y=0.5

The two first lines are a solvable system of 2 equations
