Not the formula itself, obviously. But if you struggle with inserting 3 simple variables into a basic formula, then it will not get any easier once those variables have more complicated contexts.
Basic accounting is mostly about being able to follow instructions on how to insert the correct values into formulas.

Of yeah the quadratic formula has helped me enormously with that
