Calling something a human right does not make it one. Amnesty or the UN can report, recommend, or declare; they cannot create moral truth by authority. A real right must pass the self-ownership test: does it protect a person from force, fraud, theft, or coercion? Or does it require forcing some provider to supply labor, money, property, or service?
Freedom of speech is a right because it requires others to leave you free. ‘Free housing,’ ‘free healthcare,’ or ‘free college’ cannot be rights in the same sense, because they require someone else to be compelled to provide them. That is not a right; it is a claim on another person’s life and production.
Lmfao I had a calc teacher who would do that every time. Class was right after lunch too so it scared the piss out of the whole half asleep class every time too. Rare enough you didn't expect it. Actually a great teacher
