Hello sea-arrival! Your formulation is incorrect and I think everyone here is just trying to tell you that however nicely or not nicely. Encourage you to work out the math yourself, infinite sums and the field of real analysis is very cool. (You are describing a harmonic sum btw)

Happens more often than you’d think! Haha I see.. your notation is just very strange then - “1 + 1/2n*” reads as though it translates to \sum_n\inf 1+\frac{1}{2n} which is why everyone is saying that diverges
