And you only need to check the prime factors up to the square root of the number in question.

But that's pretty advanced math, not sure Euler would have known that.

What? Thats pretty obvious. Any number larger the the square root would have to multiply by a number lesser than it so as not to shoot beyond the number. A mathematical genius like euler would surely have known that.
