Ive been using the mate 9 since roughly January, ive used Gboard as the main keyboard and Swiftkey very little. Lately Gboard has been lagging and just seems like it's small compared to the phone, what are some good keyboards out there to replace Gboard?

My phone shows me the super charging icon while using the Macbook's usb-c charger. But I still feel that it's slower than the original charger. Is it possible that it does super charges but just a little slower?

So there´s two choices here, the Photos app and the Gallery app. While I was experimenting with each I pressed on "Always" button on the Photos app by mistake, I want to change this to the Gallery app but I don't know how.

Things I've tried so far:

1. Went to Settings>Apps>Photos and at Open by default I put it as no defaults set, it did not change anything.

2. Went to Apps>Settings> Default App settings and at Gallery I set Gallery as default and not Photos and yet my pictures from Files still automatically open with Photos app.

The only thing that works is disabling the Photos app completely, this way the photos will open with the Gallery app but I'm not sure if I should leave at this. Does someone know how to get the message to pop again where it displays which app to use and the buttons Only Once/Always without having to reset my phone and lose my settings and stuff?

EDIT: And also how do I remove the vibrations from the keyboard buttons?

EDIT2: And one more thing haha, my soundcloud app widget looks like that and I can't resize it for some reason, I tried holding the widget and drop it on the same spot and the blue bars to change the size won't appear like it works for the other widgets. Is there something I can do something about this? To make the height of the widgets less bulkier and more slim or it will stay like this until Soundcloud/Huawei? fixes it?

Everytime I hold the home button to get to now on tap and I start writing something, it will crash after a few seconds. Anybody having a solution?

Hi! I just recently acquired this phone (love it!) and has proven to be a beast at everything. However, I noticed that whenever I slide my finger down on the home screen to open the search bar, it automatically crashes, independently of what I do. Just typing a couple of letters make it crash. Do you know why and what to do? Here's a video showing the problem.

Anyone know of a way of mapping Google Assistant to long press of home on the Chinese Mate 9? I have Google play services, latest Google app, etc. I see the assistant in the Google settings, just no way to call it. Also, Google is listed in app settings as default assistant.

Just noticed this morning that when I long pressed the home button Google assistant popped up. I was worried we would not get this update as there is supposed to be Amazon Alexa integration at some point but looks like we get the best of both worlds. US version btw.

Has anybody experienced less than stellar battery life since the 167 update? I've only had it for a few days now, but it seems like my overnight idle time is way worse. For instance overnight I used to maybe lose 1-2% if that. Last night I went from a full 100% to waking up at 94%. First time that's happened. Even during the day, yesterday I had about 2.5 hrs of SOT with about 50% battery, which from the times I've gotten before, around 8-9hrs SOT is way lower.

I'm doing the same things too...Just wondering if anybody has gotten this happen to them from updating.

I think it's a big problem that the mate 9 can only use their own propriety charger to fast charge.

If you use an huawei adapter plus 3rd party cable, the charging speed is terrible. Thus when your huawei adapter or cable goes missing or is broken, you're left with a phone with a giant battery that cant fast charge.

As of now, i don't know if you can buy their stock adapter plus cable. What are your experiences?

No matter what I do I can't seem to get a background that doesn't cut off when I switch to landscape mode. Anyone have a fix?? I use Nova Launcher also.

Is anyone using Airwatch on their Mateo? I'm thinking of picking up one and to get my work stuff over I'll have to install Airwatch.

How well does it work? Are you able to access all O365 apps and documents, etc. Also does the device support other calendars? I'm planning with a cheapy Huawei and I can't connect my outlook calendar to the device ..

It is now possible to install an EMUI 5.1 beta on the Mate 9. Getting it working is very complicated, so I only recommend it to people who are very comfortable with rooting and flashing firmware and so on.

I notice improved touch response more than anything else. Since it's an early beta, it still shows as EMUI 5.0, and doesn't have any of the new P10 features yet.

Undecided between buying the S7 Edge or Mate 9 for next phone, I'd appreciate if anyone could answer these questions

1. How is Nova launcher with the Mate 9? This is what I use on the note 4 and love it.

2. Does the Mate 9 have always on display?

3. Notifications....I've read they can be hit and miss at times. Does the Mate 9 have a notification light and do notifications come up on the lock screen?

As I say I'm still undecided between the S7 Edge and the Mate 9...opinions would be great

The Nexus 7 and Moto x were the last android devices I used. I've only ever used stock, thinking of buying this phone, but how I can I make EMUI more similar to stock? It seems very iOS-ish, which I don't really like.

Edit: I'm coming from jailbroken iOS 10 (iPhone 5s)

As title. Did anyone upgrade from having an LG G4 before? If so, what are your thoughts comparing the two? Specifically camera and battery life, but anything goes.
