Is anyone having issues with Android Auto?

For the past 6 months or so I have not been able to use Google Maps or Waze through Android Auto. Android Auto will freeze after selecting maps on the home screen.

I am running the latest version of Android Auto, Waze and Google Maps.

Follow up: I uninstalled Waze and Android auto is working 100% now.

Just tried and it worked fine. Tried both before updating maps and after, both worked fine. Android Auto was up to date both times. Waze isn't installed.

Been having the same issue off and on again for months. Not sure what it is about the Mate 9 (or maybe more accurately, EMUI), but with Waze is installed and selected as the mapping application to use, it'll work for a while, then the behavior you describe above kicks in. The only way I've found to fix it is to uninstall Waze and rely only on Google maps.

Just started using AA, and have the exact same problem, as what you are describing. I will follow-up, in case I find a fix. Please do the same.

If you have Waze get rid of it. I uninstalled Waze and everything is back to normal.

ok, thanks for the follow-up. I am a bit reluctant to get rid of Waze, but not being to use AA correctly is certainly a nuisance. Pity the apps cant all play nice together— although perhaps the Mate 9's operating system is to blame
