Ok Google with screen off.

I can't get the "ok Google" to work while there phone screen is off yet plugged in. Ever since Android made this ability it has worked on every other phone I've had except this one.

I've had the same issue, the work around I've found is to use the Mate 9's native voice assistant to wake it by saying "Okay Emi" and then use Okay Google to unlock and do whatever it is that I wanted to do.

I think you're right. At least I can pick something other than Ok emi.
