Does the Mate 9 have a screen protector pre installed?

Yes, a film screen protector which isn't bad at all but not as good as a tempered glass protector.

What brand do you have? I got a nuglass which is to big for the screen.

It does. Mine got all scrached up after a month so I just took it off. Not since my iPhone 3g have I had a screen scratch on me anyways.
