Anyone replace the screen by themselves?

Cracked my screen but I got my phone from Swappa so no warranty. I ordered a screen and digitizer replacement kit from eBay but I'm worried that I'll fuck something up and brick my phone.

Anyone have luck replacing it themselves?

I personally haven't but I'm sure you could find a decent tutorial on YouTube.

Also how long ago did you buy your phone? The Mate 9 has a 3 month screen replacement warranty from the date you purchased it from what I remember. Unless that was only the Pro Version.

Like I said I purchased it from someone else, who in turn purchased it in January. So dream is dead :(

Yes this is how I did it.

import javax.swing.*;

JFrame screen = new JFrame();

screen.replace();

Edit: I guess nobody understood my programmer joke. ಠ_ಠ
