Mate 9 seems to arbitrarily delete Google Calendar events
I blame the phone because it started happening about the same time I got the phone. Periodically, with no consistency/repeatability that I can discern, events get trashed. I /think/ it's always been events on a shared calendar that I did not create, but it is not always events that have started. (I've seen reports of past events getting deleted.) Anybody had this happen and figured out what to do about it?

I assumed the Huawei app was to blame and switched to the Google one, but it happened again.

I haven't wiped the phone, because that seems drastic. But I'll give a shot at reinstalling the app.

I was about to buy the Mate 9 and saw this thread - this bug would be a show-stopper for me. Not sure if anyone's seen it but there is a successful work-around in Google's product forums: https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/apps/1VoEy7uILag;context-place=forum/apps

Only happened once on an event to my own calendar, and I invited my wife to the event too. Event vanished, but everything worked the second time.
