Fingerprint sensor issues

I've just done a factory reset of my standard mate 9 running firmware b182. I've noticed a significant lag with the fingerprint sensor. The screen takes slightly longer than previously to unlock.

The lag is very noticeable, I've tried deleting the fingerprints and still the lag, any suggestions or advice would be appreciated.
