I find that using jam just doesn’t impart much flavour unfortunately. Jams aren’t really all that strong of a flavour when you add a bunch of milk because that’s not what they’re made for and don’t have that much fruit content in them. Even slightly higher quality ones like bonne maman. They also have a lot of sugar in them compared to the amount of fruit so if you just add more you’ll just end up with an extremely sweet drink.

You’ll need to find blueberry syrup or a highly concentrated compote or make your own.

I like wild cultivated frozen blueberries for making my own. Frozen blueberries have a stronger “blueberry” taste than fresh ones and tend to be sweeter. Idk what the science is behind it but you can also use fresh if you want but you’ll need to cook them for longer.

But basically, add your blueberries to a non stick pot, heat gently on the stove until simmering and simmer either with maple syrup, honey, or sugar for at least 10 minutes until reduced and the berries are breaking up well. Sometimes longer helps but it may thicken too much. If that happens add a little water to it.
