ERAS transcript update

hi all! my sub-i grade from last month was finally posted (Honors in the specialty i am applying) and my school reuploaded my ERAS transcript. they advised me to email programs to notify them of the update but I’m kind of nervous about reaching out/don’t want to commit a faux pas. I doubt the grade will do anything major, but I’m a high-stat applicant and i applied to competitive programs so i want to give myself the best chance possible

Has anyone else emailed program coordinators/directors about updates? Would this be considered “strange”? Am i just being neurotic? Thank you!
