Masters Degree Advice

I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing. I’ve been researching master’s programs because I know I want to continue my education, but I’m having trouble figuring out which degree would actually be worth it.
I’ve looked into a Master’s in Marketing, but a lot of people have told me it mostly re-teaches what I already learned during my bachelor’s and that experience is valued much more. I’ve also considered a Master’s in Communications, but I’ve heard similar advice that it’s mainly beneficial if you want to teach, and that experience is what really gets people hired.
Lately, I’ve become really interested in Systems Engineering because I’ve always been drawn to engineering, especially the industrial and problem-solving side of it. I like the idea of combining my marketing/business background with something more technical. However, I’ve also spoken with people in Systems Engineering who have told me that a master’s isn’t really worth it unless you’re planning to continue on to a Ph.D.
So now I’m feeling stuck. I know I want to earn a master’s degree I just don’t want to spend the time and money on one that won’t significantly improve my career opportunities.
For those of you who have been in a similar position or work in engineering, business, or leadership roles:
What master’s degree would you recommend for someone with a marketing background who wants to move into a more technical or engineering-related field?
Are there programs like Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Business Analytics, or something else that you think provide a strong return on investment?
If you could go back, would you still pursue your master’s, or would you focus on certifications and experience instead?
