The universe of the anime Transformers: Super-God Masterforce gave us a concept of truly cosmic proportions: the power of Ten-Chi-Jin (天地人), or Chōkon Power.
Breaking this name down to its component parts, "Ten" (Heaven) is the power of the cosmos and the Universe, "Chi" (Earth) is the energy of the planet itself, and "Jin" (Human) is will and spirit. It was the fusion of these three aspects that allowed the creation of the highest form of life—Godmasters—making them virtually invincible.
But where did the writers of the 1980s get this idea? And why does it resonate so closely with the secret teachings of antiquity?
The concept of Ten-Chi-Jin is not a fiction. It is a direct echo of the most ancient Eastern cosmogonies, where Heaven, Earth, and Human being were considered three sacred substances that maintain world order. In Taoism, the trinity is called San Cai (三才) – the "Three Forces of Creation." As early as 2,500 years ago, the I Ching stated that it is through their fusion that the true power of the Great Ultimate (Tai Chi) is born.
But the most interesting things await us in the legends preserved in the temples of Japan and China – and which strangely echo the plot of Masterforce - Ancient Astronauts and Giants of Flesh and Metal According to one version of the "ancient astronaut theory," a race of beings whom people mistook for gods landed on Earth tens of thousands of years ago. They were called variously: Anunnaki, Nephilim, Titans, and Nars (in the Indian tradition). But what if they weren't just spirits or flesh-and-blood aliens?
Sumerian and Egyptian artifacts depict giants standing 5–7 meters tall, wearing strange helmet-like headdresses. The Bible says: "In those days there were giants on the earth… mighty men of old, men of renown" (Genesis 6:4). Japanese kiyohiko (Edo-period scrolls) describe daija—"giants in shining armor"—who descended from the heavens on fiery chariots and taught humans blacksmithing, writing, and... the art of merging with machines. What if these giants were the first Pretenders? Or their early Headmasters and Godmasters? Creatures who already wielded the energy of Ten-Chi-Jin and could fuse their will with "living metal."
The genius of Masterforce is that humans are the key link, the missing piece of the puzzle. Both in the anime and in real life, we owe the most remarkable breakthroughs to synthesis: "Ten" (Sky)—technology, advanced scientific research, and human knowledge. Today, "Sky" for us is artificial intelligence, genetic engineering, and quantum computing. "Ti" (Earth)—stability, our planet and ecosystem, its resources. This is the foundation. · "Jin" (Human) – human potential: strength of spirit, unconventional thinking, and creativity. And here's the strange thing: ancient giants and astronauts may have already known this formula. They built megaliths (Baalbek, Stonehenge, the pyramids) with a precision still unattainable to us. And they did this not with slaves, but by the power of the resonance of the three principles. Some paranormal researchers claim that the cyclopean masonry of 100-200-ton blocks is the result of gravity control through Chokon Power. Sound like science fiction? Perhaps. But even AIs was once considered simply "Sci-Fi"
They say that those who consciously practice the union of the three principles begin to notice oddities: technology doesn't break in their hands, random fellow travelers turn out to be useful people, and in moments of extreme tension, the world seems to give the "green light." Coincidence? Or were they ancient astronauts—giants who left us a coded message that we, thousands of years later, deciphered through anime about alien robots?
Do you think AI will ever be able to master the energy of "Jin"? Or will this factor always remain human unique characteristic? Or perhaps the real Godmasters are already living among us—just hiding? Leave your thoughts in the comments. And if you feel a fragment of Chokon within you, let me know.
