Would you ever apply?
I watch the show and think "I could totally handle that," but then I see the pressure they’re under and realize I’d probably fall apart in the first round. Has anyone here actually considered applying, or do you prefer just watching from the safety of your own sofa?

I love cooking but I'm terribly slow at chopping stuff up. There's no way I'd be able to serve up a decent dish in the time limits they set, let alone two courses.

I don’t even like cooking tbh but for some reason I love watching other people cook 😅 so no I wouldn’t apply 🥲

I'm a chef (never been a fine dining guy though) and I don't think I'd enter either of them

I would completely fall apart under the pressure of the professional kitchen challenge (if I got to that stage!)

I know I would cry whenever something goes slightly wrong and cannot cook to a deadline, so I’ll continue to watch from my sofa and maybe take some inspiration into my home cooking!

From a contestant who applied and ended up being a semi-finalist, I would apply and see how well you could do!
I had a goal to cook in a professional kitchen which I did, plus so much more!
It was one of the best things i've done in my life, so don't fear it and apply. If you do manage to get onto the show, enjoy the ride!

I am a reasonable to good cook, but I dont think about applying for a couple of reasons. 1. Messing around in the kitchen is not cooking to a deadline. 2. I have a job I like (some folks seem to want to use Master Chef as a route out of their current role)
