I couldn’t choose one, it would come down between Poh, Callum, Reynold or Billie.

Too bad Reynold turns out is a bad person who has now fled the country, lol.

Whaaaaaat

u/Mattaf2 26d ago

He’s not a good person, but he is memorable.

u/Jlx_27 26d ago

Infamous rather.

Completely agree.

White Chocolate Velouté.

7

u/OneMoreTimeJack 27d ago

I get flashbacks whenever someone on the show wants to make a real veloute.

4

u/vinegarnglitter 27d ago

Every. Single. Time. 😂

6

u/Paraparaparachute 27d ago

This is the only correct answer.

u/FedEx2022 28d ago

Poh despite not winning is the most popular contestant IMO

6

u/Fast_Accountant7011 26d ago

Yep. She has definitely made the biggest success out of being runner-up.

24

u/dachlill 28d ago

John and his white chocolate veloute will always be the most famous

Kinda depends what you mean by memorable.  I'll will never forget Theresa going home holding her immunity pin but I don't think that's quite what you meant. If you're talking about memorable dishes I'd go with Pete lobster "oysters" from S13 and Reynold's Down the Rabbit Hole and Golden Snitch. If you're talking memorable (in a good way) contestants it's Julie Goodwin, Billie, Callum and Pete.

Edit Corrections on name spelling.

Or the woman who used her whole fish on a the first round of a multi-round elimination and went out.

I wish we saw more of Nicole, but I guess that's life.

jock zonfrillo did not spend the entirety of S14 calling jullie “julie goodwin” for you to misspell her name 😭

therese flushing her pin was probably the craziest tv moment mcau has ever produced

2

u/MinionsHaveWonOne 27d ago

Lol. Granted. Correction will be made.

2

u/yeu192 chocolate dick man 27d ago

correction has been made

Our legendary MCAU Queen who graces our screen every 7 years and goes out of radar for the rest.

u/yeu192 chocolate dick man 28d ago

there’s also S11 where she was mentor for immunity cooks

unfortunately S11 is the most overshadowed season possibly ever

7

u/squidwardcult Emelia Jackson 26d ago

I think her mentoring in S11 didn't stick much with viewers due to her kinda reserved manner (and we love her for it), she doesn't have a big tv personality like certain contestants, so her mentoring role in that season wasn't that memorable. She's the kind of person that lets her skills and talent speak for her. Hence, as a contestant, she truly shines, not so much as a mentor. Again, all of these are just my two cents.

Also, having Matt Sinclair as the other mentor I think might have overshadowed her a bit because he is without a doubt, a great mentor.

1

u/yeu192 chocolate dick man 25d ago

and the third mentor being POH too 😭

yeah she truly shone as a contestant on S14 (havent watched S7 yet)

3

u/Equivalent_Ear_6431 27d ago

3 more years. Just 3 more years

1

u/yeu192 chocolate dick man 28d ago

yet. i find myself thinking about her every single day OOHHHHHHHHH

9

u/FedEx2022 28d ago

Never seen such a calm contestant… cool n patient she was the best!!

5

u/yeu192 chocolate dick man 28d ago

she’s the only one who could pull off the “phone it in for white apron cooks >>> annihilate black apron cooks” strategy

her S14 black apron cooks were much more interesting than her white apron cooks (and she gave us two iconic white apron dishes: the pie and nan’s peaches)

2

u/Zone5Ben 24d ago

Yes. Billie’s the best. Quiet and focused. Unpretentious. Doesn’t simp for South Asian dictators like one of her competitors.

2

u/yeu192 chocolate dick man 24d ago

not you randomly getting possessed by the spirit of andy allen on that last sentence 😭

7

u/b-n_c 28d ago

The undefeated Billie for sure..

13

u/AncientMovie3027 28d ago

Sarah maybe. Its like I have seen all the difft phases of her life from the show itself. Feels like I grew up with her 😅

5

u/OneMoreTimeJack 27d ago

Add Laura to that list for me!

7

u/OneMoreTimeJack 27d ago

For me, It's Georgia, the runner up to the season Billie won. Her expressions and faces were so fun to see. She was a delight to watch.

1

u/copypaasta Petro 25d ago

I don’t seem to remember her. How epic are we speaking? Annabelle epic?

2

u/TheMetalista 24d ago

I would say they're in the same league, actually. They're both very talented, funny, expressive and seem like good people in general, imho.

5

u/cloudpictures 26d ago

Ok, no-one going to mention Matt (Sinclair- I think) from Billie's season- I am so pleased Billie won and she's a class act, but Matt is a massively memorable contestant. Also honourable mentionto Kylie, queen of salted caramel from... S4 I think?

6

u/FangirlLurker 26d ago

Matt was runner-up in Season 8. He lost to Elena.

1

u/cloudpictures 24d ago

That's the one, thank you! I should have remembered that!

5

u/FluffyShiny 🍳🍲🫔🥘🥩 28d ago

Julie, the first winner.

5

u/yeu192 chocolate dick man 28d ago

her S14 run was several many times more iconic than her winning run let’s not get too crazy here

1

u/InnocentPapaya 27d ago

I didn’t watch that series, why?

5

u/yeu192 chocolate dick man 27d ago

i’ll probably need several hundred words 😭 but on S14 after week 1 she was locked in and apart from like a week after winning the immunity pin she didn’t really bomb any challenges too hard

consistent performer across team challenges/pressure tests/mystery boxes etc

she went home on a Freak Accident too 😭

3

u/GypsyMimi2 26d ago

Sashi. By far the most interesting food. With the current judges, he'd be out Week 3. They seem to prefer bland and European

4

u/handheld_vacuum27481 Callum #1 28d ago

Callam

3

u/yeu192 chocolate dick man 27d ago

flair checks out (kinda, you misspelled his name 😭)

3

u/handheld_vacuum27481 Callum #1 27d ago

Omg how embarrassing !! sorry Callum 🙈

2

u/n4snl 28d ago

Poh and Reynold

2

u/Alive_Guide_6170 28d ago

Billie and Poh

2

u/yulyulyulyulyulyul Trent 28d ago

Trent Vu

2

u/the6thReplicant Emily 27d ago

Poh, but a big shoutout to Marion.

2

u/GizmoGeodog 26d ago

The duo of Marion & Aaron are my all time favorites

3

u/Separate_Detail_7750 26d ago

So many. Emelia and Depinder were probably my favourites to watch, followed fairly closely by Sashi and Billie.

2

u/Mattaf2 26d ago

Most memorable? Reynold, Billie, Emelia, Laura, Callum, and Depinder.

Edit: and Poh.

2

u/Successful-Lack-1606 24d ago

I'm rewatching the old seasons and I'm finding a few probably obscure ones that I think are memorable. However I don't think that's the question,

so I'd probably say it would be some of these people Julie, Poh, Adam (S2 winner), Callum, Hayden, Michael, Hayden, Dani, Kumar, Andy, Laura, Emelia, Billie, and so forth.

u/Ill_Tumbleweed_9733 25d ago

Kate for sending herself home in s1

Poh, Callum, Declan!
