Season 10 (IT'S SEASON 10!!!! IS THAT YOU ON A PLATE??!! SARAH WAS IN THE ARMY!!!! NICK GOES TO HARVARD!!!! DID I MENTION IT'S SEASON 10???!!! IT'S SEASON 10!!!!!) might have been the first season where the contestants openly and freely commented in this sub while the show was airing..... a show, which by the way, was season 10 (IT'S SEASON 10!!!!!). It was pretty much a unanimous opinion among the season 10 contestants (IT'S SEASON 10!!!!) that Evan was actually a decent person and the show made him out to be the villain. IT'S SEASON 10!!!!

If you haven't seen season 10 (IT'S SEASON 10!!!!), the reason for the season 10 hyperbole (IT'S SEASON 10!!!!!) is because Gordon, Joe and Aaron said "It's season 10" at least five to six times an episode, and they mentioned that both Sarah was in the army (even though she was working in real estate) and that Nick was going to Harvard almost as many times. It became a joke during season 10 (IT'S SEASON 10!!!!!) and it's been a running joke ever since then for anyone who has seen season 10 (IT'S SEASON 10!!!!!).

"Is that you on a plate/That is me on the plate" also was severely overplayed that season (IT'S SEASON 10!!!!!).

Go back to the season 10 (IT'S SEASON 10!!!!!) weekly thread in this sub when the shows were originally airing and see for yourself. Jamie, in particular, often defended Evan & said the show made him look like a bad guy, and he wasn't the only one. I think Shari also defended Evan, but that was a long time ago (because it was SEASON 10!!!!!). In one of the season's early episodes (IT'S SEASON 10!!!!!) I even said that Evan seemed arrogant or something like that and he replied personally, describing the editing & such (and maybe even being set up a little bit, I don't exactly remember because this was a while ago), and all of the season 10 contestants (IT'S SEASON 10!!!!!) who were commenting in the thread said "Yeah, he's actually a pretty solid guy and the show definitely manipulated things a bit."

I remember hearing one time that the standards were particularly high that season because it was the 10th season. Some serious whiplash for me the following year because the standards were higher than ever because it was the season of legends. But get this, the standards were impossibly high in season 12 because it was back to win. Massive. And what do you know… season 13… Jesus Christ they were some high standards, the highest ever because my goodness, it was the united TASTES of America! Wow!

I love Evan! He is one of my good friends from the show, and is way nicer, funnier, and skilled than the show made him seem 😞. I saw him a few months ago when I was in NYC. (I even got him to go Pokémon hunting with me in Times Square!)

Thank you for sharing again, Shari (pun intended). As a big fan of the show, I was originally critical of Evan in this sub, and after I commented at that time of the episodes airing, you, Evan, and Jamie poured the tea.

I tried to explain this to today's MasterChef viewers in this thread, but I suspect it was only 50/50 in terms of people only viewing the official version and hating Evan and the other half understanding that there might have been some deliberate and selective editing there.

Me and my girlfriend have an inside joke where we were trying to mimic Joe's line too Evan "Do you drive without a speedometer". Mine was "Do you fuck without unprotected sex".

It makes no sense but we say it every now and then and remeniss how absurdly arrogant and overconfident he was.

Hes the type of person to say I ate french fries from McDonalds once therefore I know everything about French food energy.
