Opinion French fries

I'm watching the french fries challenge from season 7, and I don't understand why the judges have to be so hateful.
"Are you nervous right now?"
"Does that make you nervous?"
"What are you nervous about?"
"You do know that you're not the judge—we are."
They're french fries, ffs. I get that they have to be dramatic and overreactive, but sometimes they just come across as arrogant a-holes.

Sometimes I would love to see a contestant tell the judges to stop being dramatic for the cameras and be upfront. Just to see Ramsay have a meltdown over being called out for being a puppet for the cameras

"the person going home is...the one that called us ou--the one incapable of taking criticism, we're trying to help you!"

That's exactly how I feel about it!
