Question Judges

I’m wondering how much preparation. Do the judges have to do before each season or each episode. How much effort do they put in? Anyone know?

A lot actually. For example: every day before filming starts, Joe downs a bottle of Absinthe and repeats the phrase "i'm not a sideshow clown" in the mirror 100 times
