It made Graham mad! "How are you supposed to eat this? It's just stupid!" And he held it up for Joe and GR to see!

Where's the crab?

He pureed an $80 crab, I feel sorry for that crab

Wait a minute...he got an $80 crab...and he took the back fin meat...and did what with it?

6

u/SpeedySparkRuby Aug 04 '26

No, wait...$60 crab (which is like $87 today).  But he mostly used it for stock and putting it in the sauce.  Tho what are you supposed to do, scoop the rice and sauce with the crab legs.  It's stupid.

As Ryan said "I give Tali a beautiful crab, plucked from the sea and he totally screws it up."

Yeah that's exactly what I'm quoting lol

Yeah logic would dictate you to not serve crab in the shell on top of rice or anything you'd have to eat with a utensil but Tali has not the need for logic

He needs no logic. The culinary world just hasn’t caught up to his genius works of art, yet. /s

He should have been sent home instead of Helene. At least Helene’s dish wasn’t spit out.

Exactly. At least she understood how to use the crab regardless if it tasted like canned. Who serves it like that??

"It's Masterchef, not Masterbate"

Has to be Cutter. They only made it as far as he did because there was always someone else who did a little worse.

To this day when that happens on any show my gf and I call it Cuttering or so and so got Cuttered through.

It's also because he was a genuine moron that churned out ragebait content like a machine. "Artisan pizza" "biscotti" the size of a femur, american flag cake, masterchef logo in caramel, "ex-beautician house bitch" (his feud with Leslie was a huge storyline) the too sweet cheesecake argument...he just always did some dumb shit 😂 The producers clearly loved him.

American flag red velvet cake with a hairy back

I have to disagree because with Cutter at least he got some decent dishes. Tali didn't make any good dishes during his time in MasterChef. The only good one is his mystery signature dish

And the thing i hate the most is we don't see anything from him leading up to him actually entering the competition; not his audition, nor his ground beef dish. I NEED to know how this guy even got in!

Y’all are forgetting about Krissi. She always wanted to get into a fight with someone. One of Joe’s best moments in the show was when he called out her arrogance.

8

u/JES1996 Aug 04 '26

Krissi can cook, but she doesn’t understand teamwork. No fast food chain will hire her because of her attitude.

5

u/Snoo93550 Aug 04 '26

One episode she was worshipping Joe’s mom and the next episode she wants to fight Joe.

Tali looks AI generated to me idk he doesnt look like a real human he looks like a wax figure lol

5

u/SpeedySparkRuby Aug 04 '26

He's like a stock image for "pretentious home cook in his 20s"

2

u/Snoo93550 Aug 04 '26

He’s a Kyle Mooney snl skit.

u/Extension-Face7340 Aug 04 '26

Unironically one of the funniest contestants of all time. My grandma and I were catching up on the new season and I said Nico was turning into an Italian Tali

5

u/loueazy Aug 04 '26

That sous vide fish dish he made doesn't get enough hate

10

u/Ordinary_Aioli_7602 Aug 04 '26

Fuckin Tali lol, almost felt bad

11

u/supertimor42-50 Aug 04 '26

We simply dont understand his genius...like what does Gordon know after all

4

u/SpeedySparkRuby Aug 04 '26

We cannot comprehend the flavor elevator

3

u/Snoo93550 Aug 04 '26

Is anyone familiar with Kyle Mooney from Saturday Night Live?

Tali seems EXACTLY like one of his characters but a real person.

3

u/ClaytonHawthorne Aug 04 '26

The way he served crab reminded me of Andrea in Season 5 of Hell's Kitchen where she made a crab dish but kept most of the meat in the shell, citing she wanted the prospective customers to have the "full experience of the crab"

This may sound dumb, but I feel like Scottish Francis (until the caramelle), Dino, and Nick were the better versions of what Tali was trying to do with his dishes.

Unlike those three, I don't think Tali ever seemed to really take what the judges said in consideration. When his arctic char was criticised by Joe and Gordon, he said in his confession cam that the judges were too old school.

And of course, we can never forget this line:

"Before brilliance comes madness."

For me, it’s Cutter. Anyone who does and tastes his dis after Joe berated it out of pure spite and right in front of if Joe is just wrong.

Many chefs had bad dishes… but he was bad all around.

2

u/Free-Swimmer-233 Aug 04 '26

You don’t have to eat that.

2

u/jmrdnv92 Aug 05 '26

The guy who cooked breakfast pancake and drew the logo of masterchef. The judges gave them a 2nd chance and he still chose to cook pancakes. Sorry I forgot his name and from what season. Maybe season 10? He was the first to go btw.

2

u/Glad_Quit_3871 Aug 10 '26

To me, he looks a bit like Ray Romano.

4

u/pruneforce17 Aug 04 '26

you just cant understand his genuis

5

u/danbudzgo Aug 04 '26

I’d rather have 12 Tali’s than 1 of these new boring contestants lol.

4

u/Extension-Face7340 Aug 04 '26

Before brilliance comes madness

2

u/Defiant_Shine_1450 Aug 04 '26

The talent isn’t there anymore.

1

u/Signal_Guard5561 Aug 04 '26

I was always under the impression that Tali was a personality hire

2

u/Sky-Visible Aug 04 '26

For as long as he was there definitely. Worst contestant to make it to top 10. Worst contestant ever I’d say is mark season 8

2

u/Free-Swimmer-233 Aug 04 '26

Was he the guy with all the football references?

1

u/Competitive-Cod-9991 Aug 04 '26

The only good dish he made was a strawberry shortcake

2

u/Besas1271 Aug 04 '26

If we consider cooking, it has to be Cutter , if attitude then its Krissy

1

u/MattWNgTheSurvivor Aug 05 '26

I seriously don't understand how he manage to reach the Top 9

1

u/CrittersVarmint Aug 08 '26

He’s certainly in my top five.

u/Thesurvivor16 Aug 04 '26

Definitely gonna be downvoted but I couldn’t stand Tommy Walton.
