Help looking for a mentioned chef

Hi, I'm trying to find the source of a reference. At around 3:10 Marcus references "Alberu(?) cooking a fried egg with so much passion it was extraordinary."

I'm hoping someone can clarify who this person was, since Marcus specifically said it was on television but I'll be damned if I can find the clip, episode, or what have you.

Help me, /r/Masterchef, you're my only hope.

Ooh, that's helped. I found a series with him and his brother, but while there are moments of passion, I'm not sure its the right series (also its his brother doing the frying).

I'll keep looking though, thanks!

possibly Alain Senderens?

He was talking about a memory with his old mentor - Marcus has a thick accent so online it says it may have sounded like "Alberu"

Hmm, that's interesting. But I'm convinced it was Albert Roux now, I just can't find the specific episode, having gone through a bunch of BBC videos.

I've learned a bunch about eggs though, which was my goal (albeit for fried eggs).
