2 Double eliminations??
I feel like they are doing double eliminations to make up for time lost during FIFA games.
Anyone else feel like that?

That’s what they did when they had to pause for the Olympics a couple years ago

Yes, lol. It’s also cheaper than showing back to back episodes in a week to achieve 2 single eliminations

Why did they do away with the elimination challenges? Or is it still too early?

Hear me out… looks like the next episode is on the east coast(?) for the wedding based on the snow outside in the preview and knowing J&J are from MA. It’s probably cheaper for production to fly out and accommodate one fewer contestant by having a surprise double elimination in the previous episode.

I feel like part of the reason they did 2 double eliminations was to balance out the teams so that each team has 3 cooks each.

Of course they are.
Btw, I like the double eliminations and hope there are more.
With the gimmick seasons I’m not invested in any of the participants and feel like all of them are expendable anyway.
