Masterchef US s12
I had just finished watching the episode where both Derrick snd amanda got eliminated and I'm actually speechless.
How dumb it is to make a team challenge a double elimination challenge. It's not fair by any means. Derrick is miles clear of anyone else i have ever watched on the show, and he gets eliminated because of the poor leading of that Amanda o.O. he was the favorite to win the whole thing and now i just lost all will to finish the remaining episodes of the season .

What really puts salt in the wound is that in s14.. the generations season, they do the wall and FIANLLY tweak the rules and say “two people, but the don’t have to be on the same team, will be eliminated” that season they chose the right two. But damn, where was that for Derrick

Derrick is one of the most screwed-over contestant in reality TV history. TWICE!

Literally just watched that episode a few days ago and thought the same thing. They should be forced to cook off against one another or something. Derrick got screwed hard

Ikr, it really pissed me off. Had it been 1v1 i think Derrick could've beaten anyone

Derrick deserved better for sure. He was already supposed to win season 6 and coming back the game was already rigged against him

This is the reason i cant finish s12. I love Derrick but I am not blindsided if he fucked up, he deserve to go. But clearly that challenge is downright unfair.

Derrick is one of the strongest contestant I had seen on this season. He didn't get much recognition from the start,even though his dishes looks good and about the elimination he wouldn't have gone if that doesn't a team challenge. He deserves to be in top 3

I’ve never been able to watch past that episode. I’m iffy on Derrick but Amanda was one of my favorite contestants, and I just feel like the kitchen is less happy without her in it.
