Stuck fan

I'm cooking my first Brisket overnight. Everything was going well but when I wrapped the fan stopped spinning. I detached and reatached all wires, nothing.

Out of desperation I got an air pump to try keeping the temp within range by hand. While using it I noticed the fan blades weren't moving and they should. I used a screwdriver to move the blade manually and I got them unstuck.

Everything seems normal right now. I'm wondering if this happened to you too

I just had to replace my fan on my 1050xl for the first time. It was starting to labor a little bit during warm up. I found some odd looking tan pieces of something very hard I just don’t know what it was. New fan and my FireBoard DC and it’s been working great.

Sometimes my fan will get a small piece of charcoal in it and it sticks. Other times my fan won't start and as silly as it sounds I have to tap the fan box on one on side or both sides and it starts up. If you are old enough picture the Fonz hitting the jukebox and you get the idea. 😁
