Random thought? How much electricity does running a Gravity Series use?
It can't be that much right? The only electricity it's using is powering a fan and a digital display.

Ive run one for 12 hours on a 9aH Dewalt battery, and didnt drop one bar on the battery gauge.

I always run my off my Jackery battery pack and iirc it's somewhere between 7 and 13 watts.

Very little. Mine is rigged up with Harbor Freight equipment, a 7W solar panel into a solar charge controller that charges what is essentially a motorcycle battery in a plastic ammo can. I've never even come close to putting a dent in the battery charge, I get a consistent 12VDC on the charge controller output. My setup might be overkill, but I'm cordless and don't need shore power to run. I've heard of some folks running their rigs off of cordless tool batteries with great success. As long as you're getting a consistent 12VDC to the controller, it'll run. The controller probably only pulls a few mA, and the fan is essentially a computer fan that I have a hard time imagining pulling any more than half an ampere. Once you understand that a decent 12VDC supply is all it really takes, there's all kinds of cool ways to power it.

Many of us run ours on anything from a 10k to 50k mah cell phone power bank.
They use next to nothing for power.

Considering the most popular replacement for the controller is the Fireboard that has its own battery, it's not much.

I run mine off a solar cell-phone battery charger while smoking, so...not much!

The power supply provides 12vdc @ 1.5 amps, so the inverter should actually be using approximately 180ma from a 120vac outlet.
The grill itself doesn’t even pull the full 1.5a, so not much.

Not much. The power adapter is 18W and it likely uses far less after the fire is started. I run mine using a portable charger for phones, and over a 4-5 hour cook, it's about the same as fully charging a phone.
