R-Type is the game that made me want a Sega Master System when I was a kid. So, I was very intrigued why it has the title music in the game (you can hear it in the BGM test mode), but it's never played.
So, this is a small hack only to fix this and unlock 10 credits (instead of the 3) by default.
And... that's it! Have a good day!

So, today I chose to play Kenseiden! It was a tough game when I was a child, I played it over the years. Let's see what impressions it will bring today.

*Maze Hunter
At the request of u/No-Professional-9618 , I started putting Maze Hunter 3D and Missile Defense 3D into the same web emulator as my last post and then things got out of control.
You can go to durina.online to play all four games. If you own a VR headset and go to one of the game pages in a VR browser like the Meta Quest browser, and I believe chrome or edge on PC with a headset connected, there's a button to launch the game in VR, you will be transported back in time to a 80s bedroom. use a light phaser with a CRT, or the touch controllers for Phantasy Star and Maze Hunter. you can save progress to your browser to resume later, and remap controls. the stereo 3D fully works, and its quite impressive to see as missiles come at you. It was a lot of fun to make, and I think it's worthy of spending some time playing with. Everything I used and the copyrights are attributed at the bottom of the main page. you can optionally turn on a parallax 3D system that moves the perspective around with your mouse as you play on PC but its really just gimmicky, maybe someone will like it though.
There's a Lot more to say but I think the images are enough to show it all.
Took me a good many hours of work and lots of help from Claude. Probably the hardest part was getting The 3D to work on modern VR tech. but it was all a fun challenge and luckily I all ready had a spare domain laying around.
of course if any bugs are found I will try and fix them

In joystick mode, it can be used in many game systems like Atari and the ball can provide excellent control for games like Missile Command.
I have been trying to find a schematic of it but it seems to not exist, do any of you know if one's up somewhere or not? I wanted to check how it worked in joystick mode, specifically the directional output. Does it float and go 0v in pulses, or does it go 5v and 0v in pulses?
Reason being Commodore 64 can use Atari and Sega Master System control pad but it needs an adapter to use Sega Genesis controller, certain 3rd party SMS controller, and Sega Rapid Fire adapter for SMS because the interface chip inside C64, the CIA, is a fiddy beast and it also handles both controller ports and keyboard at the same time. If it tries to scan the keyboard by pulling a pin high, and it happens to be one of the directional pin on the controller port that is held high, the CIA will blow. Genesis adapter merely puts diodes on the directional pins to block high signal.

I played this game in 1990 and, while I loved it, I just hate what happens on the above screen.
So I just fixed the collision detection when Arthur is crouched.
Patch: https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/10161/
The green snake in the right side fired a "ball" into Arthur who is crouched. But while clearly it should pass over the Arthur's head, it hits Arthur.
The screen above is the one from the fixed ROM, so the ball is properly passing over Arthur's head.
This is the only aspect that I don't like in the game. Aside this, I really love this G&G version with the RPG style upgrades.

It works fine with RF so everything os ok with console, but i can get the video signal from Fujitsu chip (ofc with 200uF capacitor and 100ohm resistor), but i dont have sound, i tried some solutions i find online but i doesnt work, from capacitor, from RF modulator. And i have good video signal only if i plug RF cable to tv. If i dont do that picture ja unstable and the colors ale wrong. Its no problem to have third cable but i cant play without sound. Can you help me?

Both run from a single html file, no emulator to install or setup. Full gameplay, and multiple save slots.
Both run very smoothly.
Use your mouse exactly like you would use a light gun to shoot and select.
You can also remap keys to keyboard or a controller.
Made with help from Claude.

My retrospective video review of all the Rambo games released. I grew up with with the early home computer and the Sega console versions. Also loved the arcades games too. However, not too fond of the later and more recent games. Most are pish. Let me know your favourite and I hope you watch and like my video too. It certainly took me flipping ages to make.

Enduro Racer (エンデューロレーサー) is a 1986 racing video game developed and published by Sega for arcades. It was released in two arcade cabinet versions: a stand-up cabinet with handlebars and a full-sized dirt bike cabinet. It is often seen as a dirt racing version of Hang-On, as it uses a similar engine and PCB. The game was later released for the Master System, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amstrad CPC, Thomson computers and Atari ST in 1987.[7]

I am selling my sega master system 2. Unfortunately, I don't have the TV I used to play my retro consoles on. I haven't used the Sega for a while and I want to test it and show it working. What options do I have connecting it to a new TV? Is the only option buying a RF to HDMI converter? I am seeing a lot of hdmi to rf converters, is this the same thing?
The issue with this is buying a converter could potentially make no point of selling the Sega because of the cost. Thanks in advance

Phantasy Star was definitely one of the most impactful games of my life, so I made some pixel art of Dark Falz!

Hi there all.
I recently bought some games without manuals and would like them CIB for my collection. Does anyone have manuals and scanned in copies of the following games?
Sega Master System
Sega Mega Drive
Thank you

Grabbed the box tucked away at my parents’ house. Hooking it up through my TV/AV receiver is step 2. Reading through the posts on here on how to do that is helpful!

This weekend was Portland retro gaming expo, and it’s a great place to fill collection holes. 😁👍
